Little Bay De Noc

Your dock is the trailhead.

Little Bay De Noc is the reason people come back to Whitefish Lodge and Cabins year after year. Our property has its own boat launch and dock, so you can be on the water within minutes of unpacking the car. Bring a boat, rent one nearby, or just take out a kayak or canoe from the yard. The bay is calm most mornings, wide open for a paddle before breakfast, and it is a short run out to the deeper water where the walleye run. Whatever season you visit, there is something to do that does not involve driving anywhere.

On clear nights when the forecast lines up, the aurora comes out over Little Bay De Noc, and the water doubles the show. These photos were taken right here on the property, a few steps from the cabins. No long drive, no hike. Just walk down to the dock and look north.
